We advise that client’s book as far in advance as possible, in order to avoid disappointment. We are especially busy over weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

We do allow our client’s to bring champagne or wine along for their spa treatments, and can provide glasses. Food and beverages order from the hotel’s restaurants can be enjoyed on the hotel deck before or after treatments (no glassware allowed on the deck) or else outside the spa entrance, at the Juice Bar. For special occasions/group bookings, please arrange with us beforehand if you would like to bring cake or snacks.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your treatment start. If you have booked any facial or body treatment, please arrive 10 minutes earlier so that you can change before your treatment.

As a client at our spa, you may enjoy the hotel deck, swimming pool or Jacuzzi (when in operation), before or after your spa treatment/s. You may also enjoy the hotel’s Juice Bar or Waves restaurant for a meal or beverage. The William Roberts Hair Studio is located next to our spa.

This depends on the treatment booked. For body treatments (massages, scrubs, wraps), wear comfortable, lose clothes that are easy to change out of and back into. We recommend bringing an extra pair of undies along for your Body Scrub/Wrap treatment, to change into after your shower. If you’re booked for a pedicure, it is best to wear pants that can be folded up or shorts, as the treatment includes a foot massage that could wet the cuffs of your pants. If your pedicure includes normal polish, wear sandals to allow your toenails to dry.

Post workout massages can help reduce/prevent muscle soreness, and are also effective in increasing blood flow to your muscles, which helps repair damaged tissue. If you choose to book a massage before your workout, your muscles have the chance to warm up and stretch, for improved flexibility. Deep tissue massages are not recommended before a workout.

We will gladly assist you in choosing the correct facial treatment for your skin. We offer Thalgo facials, BioDermal Facials and BioDermal Chemical Peels, as well as Dermapen 4 Microneedling treatments. Thalgo Thalassotherapy facials utilise marine-based ingredients and techniques and harness the benefits of seawater, seaweed, and marine minerals. BioDermal Skin Tech offers a concentrated, corrective, and preventative skincare approach, using cruelty free products which are cosmeceutical in nature. Dermapen 4 microneedling is done using a handheld device with tiny needles that create controlled micro-injuries, stimulating collagen production, and improving skin texture, tone, and appearance.

Mediheel pedicures are effective for healing cracked heels, while a Paraffin add on helps to soften hard heels. Depending on the severity of your cracked heels, you may require more than 1 Mediheel Pedicure treatment.

When using the sauna before a body treatment, you can expect quicker recovery from intensive massages like the Deep Tissue massage. If you use the sauna after your massage or body wrap/scrub, you will experience greater detoxifying benefits. If you are booking a facial, please first discuss making use of the sauna with your therapist – we do not advice using the sauna after a facial, however pre-treatment sauna use is usually fine.

Tips at Ohana Beauty & Wellness are not expected, however they are considered a gift for a job well done. Tipping your spa therapist is like tipping at a restaurant, and the customary amount ranges between 10% to 15% of your treatment/treatments.

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please let us know 24 hours in advance. We reserve the right to charge for any appointments that are missed without notice.

If you are running late for your treatment, please inform us as soon as possible – if we are quiet, we may still be able to accommodate you, however if we are busy, we may need to reschedule your appointment. If you want to avoid rescheduling, consider choosing a similar treatment that takes less time to complete (for example, an express manicure instead of a deluxe manicure).

We ask that you do not bring small children along to your spa appointment, as there is no one to watch them while you are having your treatment done. Our spa is a relaxing retreat for all of our clients, away from stress and noise – for this reason, we ask that small children do not accompany you on your spa day.

We do not do nude massages, so even if you have booked a full body massage, wrap or scrub, you will only need to undress down to your underwear – your therapist will supply you with a gown, and will also cover or drape the parts of your body not being treated during the massage.

You should not shave before your intimate wax, but may trim the area if you prefer. We do recommend exfoliating before any wax, as scrubbing away dead skin will help the wax to grip the hair and not the skin.
